Award of Bid – COL/LMIG-6.19.2017 – Resurfacing of City streets: West Johns, Bradley Woods and Old Manor.
Bids were received and opened publicly on June 19, 2017 with four (4) respondents. Based on the bids received, staff recommends the award of bid for the afore-mentioned streets to Garrett Paving Company, Inc. in the amount of $135,017.00. All legal requirements have been met, and the project may proceed upon approval by the City Council.

Award of Bid – COL/107 MAIN-6.26.2017 – 107 MAIN Parking Lot expansion
Bids were received and opened publicly on June 26, 2017 with three (3) respondents. Based on the bids received, staff recommends the award of bid for the afore-mentioned project to Woodwind Construction in the amount of $177,000. All legal requirements have been met, and the project may proceed upon approval by the City Council.

Set 2017 Tax Year Millage Rate for the City of Lilburn Resolution #2017-07
The Code of Georgia requires the City Council to set its millage rate annually for the upcoming year as it applies to real and personal property within the City’s corporate limits.  At 4.43 mills, the 2017 millage will remain the same as the 2016 millage rate of 4.43.

El Paraiso Express LLC – New license for 550 Pleasant Hill Rd., Suite 206
The Alcohol Review Board met on June 15th to review a new application from El Paraiso Express, LLC. The owner, Maria Leiva, on behalf of El Paraiso Express was present along with Julian Fernandez (agent). 

The ARB recommends to the council to allow alcohol sales (beer only) at this location.

Discussion about Temporary and Exempt Signs
This is a work session item for discussion purposes only to determine the desire to modify the City’s sign ordinance regarding signage that is not permanent.
