How to treat campaign signs

Campaign signs are an important part of the democratic process. It is important that candidates respect property owners' rights, and that residents respect candidates' rights. Here are some rules of thumb:
  • It is a violation for anyone to remove legal signage without express permission of the owner.
  • Signs must be placed outside of the public right of way and no closer than 10 feet from the back of curb.
  • Private property owners must grant prior permission.
