Sept. 2, 2014

Lilburn City Market on Main will extend its season an additional month. The City of Lilburn will continue to host the weekly farmers market through Sept. 30 on Tuesday evenings from 4-7 p.m. in the Greenway parking lot across from City Hall.

1910 Public House restaurant will offer activities including cooking demonstrations using products found at the market.

This is the first season for City Market, which opened in June. Throughout the summer season, shoppers had the opportunity to buy items such as locally produced honey, meat, peaches, pecans, vegetables, and flowers at this traditional market. Products sold at the City Market must be grown or made by the vendor. The City of Lilburn conducts farm visits to ensure that only authentic, high-quality products are sold.

Vendors interested in selling at City Market in September may contact Rozalyn Schmitt, City of Lilburn Event Coordinator, 770-638-2225, rschmitt@cityoflilburn.com.
