A water main break on Camp Creek Road will leave residents without water for 4-8 hours while the pipe is repaired.
A 12" water main burst on Camp Creek Road just north of Arcado, near the Primitive Baptist Church. Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources is working to fix the issue. The contractor must dig a 20' long by 6' wide trench to repair the damaged pipe. It is estimated that the water will be off for 4-8 hours, starting at 6 p.m.
All homes on side roads between Arcado and the railroad tracks will be affected, about 250 homes total. Camp Creek Road is closed to traffic from Joy Lane to Arcado. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed, and residents who cannot reach their homes through the back entrance of their subdivision.
The Lilburn Police Department is on scene and will issue updates.
