If you know anything about this community, you know that fall and a decades-long Lilburn Woman’s Club (LWC) event go hand in hand. Why, in a few days, the LWC will host its 51st Lilburn Daze. This is a well-attended arts festival that, for more than 40 years, has filled City Park, our community gem. It is worth noting that the LWC supported City Park at its inception and helped raise money for its completion.
This year’s Lilburn Daze, set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 14, offers an additional benefit: Citizens can submit their questions for a municipal candidates’ forum that the LWC will host from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Oct. 23, at the Lilburn Police Department and Municipal Court Complex, 4600 Lawrenceville Highway. Please make plans to attend.
Because of the LWC’s unyielding volunteer spirit and its decades-long devotion to high community standards, quality of life and the overall well-being of Lilburn, the organization’s members are the City’s October Citizens of the Month.
We hope to see you Saturday at the 51st annual Lilburn Daze. Come enjoy family fun with lots of arts and crafts vendors, live music, delicious food, and a pet parade! Rest assured you will have a grand time. The LWC has ensured that for 50 years and counting.
