The City of Lilburn extended the business license renewal application deadline from Jan. 31 to Feb. 5. All businesses in the city limits must file an application to renew their business license by Feb. 5 at 5 p.m. at City Hall to avoid a $25 penalty.
"This week's snow and ice made it difficult for many business owners to come to City Hall to file a renewal application. We want to make sure our businesses have every opportunity to apply on time, so we extended the deadline to Feb. 5," City Manager Bill Johnsa said.
An Occupational Tax Certificate is required for any business in the City of Lilburn, regardless of the size of the business or whether it is operated at a residence or commercial location.
