[ARCHIVED] Lilburn Reports Road Condition Updates

8AM Update

As of 8 a.m. in the City of Lilburn:
Roads are still passable. Streets are beginning to ice, but there is currently more slush than ice. Ice is forming on power lines, but no damage or crews are needed at this time. No accidents to report. Virtually no traffic.

Local road conditions will be updated every two hours between 8 a.m. and midnight here and @CityofLilburn on Facebook or Twitter. Citizens may also subscribe to receive Emergency Road Closure Alerts via email.

Lilburn Police and Public Works are patrolling the roads for hazards. Public Works will spread sand on icy patches on city roads, and Police will close the road if it is impassable. Gwinnett County will handle clearing of county-maintained roads, and the Georgia Department of Transportation will clear all state roads. Click here for a breakdown of state and county roads in the Lilburn city limits.

Citizens can conveniently report problems on city streets using the city's website reporting tool, Citizen Request Tracker. Power outages should be reported to your electricity provider.
