The 53rd Annual Lilburn Daze was a huge success thanks to the incredible efforts of so many.

Removable Bollard Installation Begins Today, 10/13

Starting today (Monday, October 13), crews will install removable bollards in Old Town. The work is expected to take 2–3 days to complete. During this time, detour signs will be in place to help route traffic around the construction area. Please plan ahead and use caution when traveling through Old Town.

Tomorrow! Last Food Truck Tuesday in the Park

Join us tomorrow, October 14, in Lilburn City Park for the last Food Truck Tuesday in the Park this season! 

  • Tuesday, October 14
  • 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Live music by Salpicon

It's Chipper Week!

The City of Lilburn’s chipper service will run this week! Residents can place tree limbs and brush at the curb, and our Public Works crew will chip and remove them. Please remember:

  • Stack all limbs with the cut ends in the same direction.
  • No stumps, root balls, or construction debris.
  • Stack neatly at the curb—avoid blocking sidewalks or streets.

This free service helps keep our city clean and beautiful.

DDA Meeting This Wednesday, 10/15

Join us this Wednesday for the Downtown Development Authority meetings.

  • Work Session: 6:30 p.m.
  • Regular Meeting: Immediately following the Work Session

Camp Creek Restabilization Pre-Bid Meeting Friday, 10/17

The City of Lilburn is in the design phase of a project for stream bank stabilization along Camp Creek. The city is honored to receive a $900k federal earmark for this project. A pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, October 17, for anyone interested in bidding on the project. 

Volunteer with Gwinnett Great Days of Service This Saturday, 10/18!

Looking for a way to make a difference close to home? The Lilburn Community Garden is participating in Gwinnett Great Days of Service, and we’d love your help!

Join us on Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to lend a hand in the garden. It’s a great opportunity to connect with neighbors, support our community space, and enjoy some time outdoors.

Safety in the Home & Home Firearms Safety Course This Saturday, 10/18

Register to attend a free “Safety in the Home & Home Firearms Safety” course presented by MainStreet Guns & Range on Saturday, October 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This informative session covers practical steps to keep your home safer and best practices for responsible firearms storage and handling.

  • Cost: Free
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 18, 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
  • Hosted by: Lilburn Police Department
  • Presented by: MainStreet Guns & Range

Join the ARTober Coloring Contest!

Explore Gwinnett and Gwinnett County Public Library are teaming up for the first-ever ARTober Coloring Contest—a fun way to celebrate the arts all month long!

  • When: October 1–31, 2025
  • Where: Gwinnett County Public Library branches
  • Who: Ages 3–13
  • How to Enter: Pick up a coloring sheet at any GCPL branch and return your completed entry by October 31.
  • Prizes: 30 winners total (10 per age group), each receiving an awesome prize bag!

This family-friendly contest is a great way for kids to show their creativity and be part of Gwinnett’s ARTober celebration.

2025 Property Tax Bills

You should be receiving your City of Lilburn 2025 Property Tax Bills, which were mailed out on October 1, 2025.

Please note:

There is a $10.56 increase in your annual sanitation service. The millage rate remains unchanged at 4.43 mills.

You may pay and/or review your bill online via the city's secure payment portal. For questions, please contact City Hall at 770-279-3705.

Next Monday is the Mayor's Town Hall

Next Monday is the monthly Mayor's Town Hall. We will discuss details of the property tax referendum on the ballot, and how it impacts you.

This fall, residents will cast votes in two separate elections—one for city issues and one for county issues. That means two ballots at two locations:

City of Lilburn Election: Vote at Lilburn City Hall (340 Main Street)
County Election: Vote at your assigned county polling place (confirm before you go)

Early Voting: October 14–31
Election Day: Tuesday, November 4

Step into history and celebrate the season at Lilburn’s treasured Wynne-Russell House! From spooky stories to holiday cheer, there’s something for everyone:

Paranormal Storytelling
Saturday, October 25 | 7–9 p.m.
Gather for an evening of chilling tales inside the historic house. Adults only.

Holidays at the Wynne-Russell House

November 22 | Deck the Halls
Help decorate the property for the holidays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch provided.

December 9 & 11 | FREE Candlelight History Tours
Two tours each night at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., with light refreshments.

December 13 | Holiday Open House & Bake Sale 
Tour the home, snap a photo with Santa, and shop for homemade treats from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds support the upkeep of this historic treasure.

Street Paving & Resurfacing Projects Update

The ongoing road resurfacing project is expected to be completed by Thursday, October 24, weather permitting. Thank you for your patience as crews work to improve our roadways—please continue to use caution in work zones and allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Railroad Avenue Project Update: Porchline & the Parking Deck

Work continues on both components of the project. In the parking deck, crews are completing punch-list tasks while advancing electrical, plumbing, and fire-sprinkler systems and preparing the first level for concrete. On Porchline, the multi-family portion, framing remains active alongside mechanical, plumbing, and electrical rough-ins. Windows and doors are scheduled to arrive, with installation to follow.
