Tall Structure Permit changes approved

Lilburn City Council approved a Change in Conditions to relinquish special use for a Tall Structure Permit from 306 Luxomni Road. Council also approved conditional approval for a Tall Structure Permit for 313 Luxomni Road. Please refer to the agenda packet for details. Vote: 3-0

Brunch Bill adopted

On November 5, 2019, the City of Lilburn held a special municipal election to determine a Referendum (Brunch Bill) authorizing the City to permit and regulate Sunday sales of distilled spirits and/or alcoholic beverages by the drink from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Referendum passed with 298 "Yes" votes. City Council voted to adopt Ordinance #2019-544 amending the City Alcohol Beverage Ordinances Section 6-96(a). Vote: 3-0 

Moratorium on small cell telecommunications

City Council voted to approve a moratorium barring the issuance of permits or acceptance of applications for permits for wireless communications devices and facilities in the city's right of way. The city has received a number of inquiries regarding the installation of small cell system components. Imposing a moratorium allows the city time to prepare and present an ordinance regulating the installation of such devices and facilities for the Mayor and City Council's consideration. Vote: 3-0

Other Business

  • Lilburn City Council approved text amendments to the development regulations pertaining to sanitary sewage disposal. Ordinance Number 2019-543 amends Article 7, Section 7.3 to clarify text and prohibit private communal septic systems. Vote: 3-0
  • Ordinance #2019-545 amending various sections of the City Alcohol Beverage Ordinance was approved. Vote: 3-0
