Ordinance No. 2021-574, Amending Noise Control Ordinance 

The Lilburn City Council approved Ordinance No. 2021-574, proposing Section 42-58(b)(6) be amended by deleting the section in its entirety and replacing it with the new Section 42-58(b)(6) as follows:  No person shall operate or cause to be operated a private motor vehicle on a public right-of-way within the City of Lilburn at any time in such a manner that the sound level emitted by the motor vehicle, including but not limited to the vehicle’s engine, muffler system or other mechanical parts, when measured at a distance of 50 feet or more, exceeds 95 decibels. If the vehicle is being operated in a predominately residential area, then the sound level shall not exceed 50 decibels from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and 70 decibels from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Vote: 4-0.

Intergovernmental Agreement with Gwinnett County and Gwinnett County Water and Sewerage Authority

Lilburn City Council approved the Intergovernmental Agreement between Gwinnett County, Gwinnett County Water and Sewerage Authority, and the City of Lilburn for implementation of sewer improvement projects. Vote: 4-0.

• Yoon-Mi Hampton was sworn in to office as the Council member for Post 1.
• Mayor Dunn presented the Calvin Fitchett Pavilion Dedication Proclamation and the National Night Out Proclamation.
• Rock the Park will be held on September 18, 2021, from  6:00 PM - 9:30 PM at the City Park.
• City of Lilburn National Night Out will be on October 5, 2021, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM the City Park.
• Lilburn Daze Arts & Crafts Festival will be held on October 9, 2021, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM at the City Park.
• Early in-person voting will begin on October 12, 2021 and end on October 29, 2021, during regular business hours at City Hall.
