Change order to the Jointly Funded 2017 SPLOST Transportation projects  

The Lilburn City Council approved change order number 2 allowing the remaining joint transportation funding to be allocated for other mutually beneficial projects between the City of Lilburn and Gwinnett County.  Approximately $463,000 (81%) Gwinnett/ 19% City of Lilburn) will remain for joint use. Vote: 4-0.

Lease Agreement between the City of Lilburn and Lilburn Community Partnership for Wynne-Russell House

City Council approved a three-year renewal of the lease agreement between the City of Lilburn and the Lilburn Community Partnership for the Wynne-Russell House at 4684 Wynne Russell Drive. Vote: 4-0.

Mayor Dunn also presented members of the LCP with a proclamation recognizing everything they do for the City of Lilburn.

Revision of Personnel Policies & Approval of Restated 401(a) Defined Contribution Plan

The Lilburn City Council approved the use of sick leave as an option to supplement funeral leave, with the approval of the Department Director.  Council also adopted the Georgia Municipal Association's restated 401(a) defined contribution plan including addendum.  Vote: 4-0.

Text amendments to the Zoning and Sign Ordinance tabled

The Lilburn City Council tabled both Public Hearing Item 1 - Text Amendments to Zoning Ordinance, Article 5, Section 502 proposed to address signage standards within the Main Street Hospitality Zone and larger Town Center Overlay District and Agenda Item 6 - Text Amendments to city code Chapter 113-Sign Ordinance to add and amend definitions, clarify text, and add standards for signage within the Town Center Overlay District. Vote: 4-0.

Other Business and Upcoming Events  

  • Council approved the appointment of Angela Couch as Assistant Solicitor for the City of Lilburn.
  • City Hall - Library will be Closed for Veterans Day on November 11, 2021, and for Thanksgiving Holiday on November 25, 2021 - November 26, 2021.
  • The Lilburn Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting will be held on December 4, 2021, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
  • The Classic Christmas Drive-In Movie will be held on December 18, 2021, from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM at Lilburn City Hall.
