Millage rate adopted

City Council approved the 2019 millage rate. At 4.43 mills, the 2019 millage will remain the same as the 2018 millage rate. The Code of Georgia requires City Council to set its millage rate annually for the upcoming year as it applies to real and personal property within the city's corporate limits. Please see the full agenda packet for more information regarding the millage rate. Vote: 3-0 

Mark DeArmon joins Lilburn DDA

Lilburn City Council appointed Mark DeArmon as Director of the Lilburn Downtown Development Authority. The Lilburn DDA received 3 applications and in June recommended that City Council appoint Mr. DeArmon to serve. He fills the unexpired term of Diana Preston which ends on 12/31/20. Vote: 3-0

School zone speed cameras approved

City Council approved a professional agreement with RedSpeed USA regarding the installation of school zone speed cameras. Cameras will be installed at Arcado Elementary School on Arcado Road and Trickum Middle School on Killian Hill Road. There is no cost to the city to install the cameras. Vote: 3-0

Other Business

  • The following city events were announced; Sprinkler Day each Wednesday in July, Lilburn Food Truck Tuesday every remaining Tuesday in July and the second Tuesday of the month, August-October, and National Night Out on August 6.
