Biography
Scott Batterton has lived in Lilburn for over 25 years and has been involved with Lilburn city government for most of that time. He has served the citizens of Lilburn in several positions, including the Merit and Planning boards. He was the mayor from 1996 to 2003.


Dr. Batterton, a 1976 graduate of the Emory University School of Dentistry, has maintained a dental practice in Lilburn since 1979; located at Lilburn Corners. He is a member of Gwinnett Bible Chapel and a 1988 graduate of Leadership Gwinnett, in addition to attending the 2001 Regional Leadership Institute. Dr. Batterton has retired from his duties as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Georgia National Guard and was previously a member of the Northeast Georgia Police Academy Advisory Board.
