Biography
Emil Powella was elected to City Council in May 2020. He and his wife Nancy moved to Lilburn in 2000 and have two children and four grandchildren.
Council member Powella grew up in Lakeland, Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Marketing. His is retired from a career in Marketing Management with Amoco Oil and BP.
He served seven years on the City of Lilburn Planning Commission and one year on the city’s Merit Board. He is also a graduate of the Lilburn Citizen’s Police Academy. One of his hobbies is photography and he can often be seen taking photos around the city.
