Division Overview & Responsibilities
The Human Resources Division serves as the city's strategic partner in building and maintaining an effective workforce. Led by the Human Resources Director and supported by the Human Resources Manager, the department develops and implements comprehensive personnel policies, manages recruitment and selection processes to attract qualified candidates, and maintains accurate employment records and documentation. The team oversees job classification systems and competitive salary structures, administers comprehensive employee benefits programs, and ensures compliance with all employment laws and regulations. Beyond administrative functions, Human Resources provides ongoing support to employees through professional development opportunities, performance management guidance, and conflict resolution services, while fostering a workplace culture that promotes excellence in public service.
