Division Overview & Responsibilities
The Facilities Division is responsible for the care and upkeep of all City-owned and managed properties, ensuring they remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for both staff and the public. Facilities maintained include City Hall, Police Department, Public Works facility, Fleet facility, Wynne Russell House, City Park pavilions and restrooms, and properties owned by the Downtown Development Authority.
The division manages a wide range of maintenance contracts and services, including:
- Elevator, HVAC, generator, irrigation, plumbing, and historic structure maintenance
- Oversight of vendor contracts and services, including coordination with Gwinnett County as needed
The Facilities Division also supports the Public Works Department by providing backup assistance with operations and special projects.
